Where to go?

Where to go on that long flight

Deciding where you’re going to head off to on holiday can be one of the biggest decisions you’ll make all year. Think about it, you save up so long and hard for your time away, that you don’t want to pick somewhere you’re not going to enjoy, or somewhere which will be a let-down, so the pressure is really on to get the decision right.

Do you go long haul? Do you go short haul? Do you go somewhere in the middle? Do you want sun? Do you want culture? Do you want both?

Decisions, decisions!

Wherever you choose, the important thing to remember is that if you’re going to do something, then you should pull out all the stops and do it right. I like to book an airport hotel prior to my travel day no matter where I’m going, especially if I’m flying long haul, or it’s an early flight I’m meeting, because I find the comfort and convenience of knowing I’m right where I need to be means I’m not stressed out or over-tired. If you like the sound of this, check out the range of hotels available at your departure airport, as there are sure to be several, including at the regional airports, with a great range of Liverpool Airport hotels on offer too.

Where to go

If you’re heading long haul remember to try and acclimatise your body to the time of day as fast as possible, to try and hit jet-lag on the head before it starts. There’s no denying that some of the best destinations in the world are a longer flight away, such as Orlando, the Far East, the Indian Ocean islands, Australia, and New Zealand for example.

Having said that, if you want a simple beach holiday that’s not too far away, you’re really spoilt for choice, with plenty to be found in Greece, Spain, Portugal, the Canary Islands, and Tunisia, to name just a few.

Once you’ve decided on your destination, after whittling it down from a short list, get a holiday countdown app downloaded onto your phone and watch the days tick by. It’s fun to look forward to your holiday in this way, because the anticipation builds, and if you can throw in a bit of internet research into what you’re going to see and do whilst you’re away, you’ll be raring to go come departure day.

Make the decision and throw yourself wholeheartedly into your holiday, you’ve worked hard for it!
